Sinopse
In the summer of 2017, a mixed group of local Porto residents regularly assemble to trade their stories. Directors João Salaviza (Portugal) and Ricardo Alves Jr. (Brazil) make a film based on the layers of these random narratives and fragments of intimacy.
João Salaviza was born in Lisbon, in 1984. He graduated both from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School and the University of Film, in Buenos Aires. His first short film “Mountain” premiered at the Venice Film Festival – Critic’s Week, followed by Rotterdam, San Sebastian, Buenos Aires, S. Paulo, Munich, Angers, Kerala and Montpellier (Best Film Award) film festivals, prior to its commercial release in directed a trilogy of internationally awarded short films: “Rafa” (Golden Bear at the 2012 Berlinale, Ingmar Bergman Award at Uppsala), “Arena” (Golden Palm at Cannes 2009) and“Black Hill” (premiered at Rotterdam).
Ricardo Alves Jr. was born in Belo Horizonte, in 1982. He’s a screenwriter, theatre and film director, and the author of the short films “Material Bruto”(2006), “Convite para Jantar com o Camarada Stalin” (2007), “Permanências”(2010) and “Tremor” (2013), which were shown and awarded at several international film festivals, such as Cannes – Critic’s Week, Rotterdam, Locarno, Oberhausen, Karlovy Vary, IndieLisboa, and Rio de Janeiro, among others. In2013, all of his short films were shown at the French Cinematheque in Paris.
