Sinopse
The neighbours rose to the challenge, coming together every week at the theatre and exploring all of its potential in terms of what it incorporates and how it reveals itself. For this show (and its preparations), the basis was a common denominator: “work” as a central element in the defining of an individual’s identity, in the affirmation of a collective and in the social and cultural projection of a city. To that end, participants opened their doors to reveal the invisible dimension of the “arts”of commerce, in which they were chiefly employed. They showed their workshops, the shapes, colours, materials and gestures as a map defining the modern urban mesh. Various questions were thus raised, which this show seeks to answer: what place and time does “work" occupy in our lives? Why do we need it to construct ourselves as people? How do we relate to each other through “work”? Looking at the past, what is “work" today and how do we see it in the future?
