Sinopse
In 1983, José Afonso, already gravely weakened by the illness that would claim his death four years later, stepped onto stages of the Lisbon and Porto coliseums for what would be his final concerts. The Lisbon concert, recorded by RTP, became a landmark in Portuguese collective memory and has been perpetuated through an album, a concert film and, more recently, a restored edition that almost entirely recovers the show. José Afonso, ao vivo nos Coliseus, 1983 is a multidisciplinary work that intertwines music, theatre, performance and poetry. The performance does not intend to reconstitute the original concert, but to reinvent it in the light of a contemporary approach inspired by Gig Theatre, a hybrid form that fuses the energy of live concerts with theatrical narrative, reinterpreting Zeca's legacy with creative freedom and deep emotional resonance. — Gonçalo Amorim / TEP
