Sinopse
In“Bouncing Heads”, three dancers move about always on the assumption that there is a prevailing shape, unrivalled in force. Thus, sharing the same circumstances, they coexist in constant unison. The implemented nature of movement therefore becomes the most elementary form of existence in the universe they inhabit. The movement is viral and produces overjoy, ecstasy, trance. In the first instance, the word “balance” brings to mind and refers to a feeling of repeated, cyclic movement enabling body and mind to place distance between each other, or on the contrary bringing them closer, which may trigger more complex, diverse and hybrid versions of the original movement.
Vítor Fontes has been dancing since 1998. He is the artistic director and choreographer of the All About Dance company since 2000, and the director of the All About Dance academy since 2001. He has been building a significant career as a choreographer and dancer within the world of urban dance with the pieces “Asylum, Distorction”, “O Comboio Fantasma”, “Urban Ballets”, “Urbam – Geografia do Movimento Urbano”and“Tuki – We Are From the Hood”. He performed in the pieces “Hu(r)mano”and“B(r)other”, by Marco da Silva Ferreira.
24-year-old Maria de Melo Falcão did her basic training at Companhia Olga Roriz and Balleteatro. As a professional performer she worked with Elisabete Magalhães, Teatro de Ferro, Cie Willi Dorner, Marco da Silva Ferreira, Sara Garcia, Vítor Fontes and Joana Providência. She did a traineeship with Victor Hugo Pontes in“Fall”. In 2015 she has her creative debut with the solo “It Me”, and in 2016 she begins her partnership with Vítor Fontes in “ar-ti-fí-cio”.
