Quintas de Leitura

He was born in France, in 1974. He writes novels, poetry, short stories and theatre plays. His novel, “Autisme” [Autism], was shortlisted for the Femina Prize 2016. He currently lives in a narrow street in Lisbon, in the company of his cats, Rim [Kidney] and Croquete [Croquette]. Cristiana Sabino, José Anjos  and Renato Filipe Cardoso will do the readings, focusing on the books making up the “Paternidades Falhadas” [Failing Parenthood] trilogy, where the author explores the challenges of human relations, and the failure of the traditional family model and its features, to the limit. An ironic, lacerating, raw and gut-wrenching writing. A range of brilliant artists join the cast: Miguel Calhaz (music), Sabeth Dannenberg (new circus) and João Fazenda (image). Musician and songwriter B Fachada’s disarming sound brings the session to an end.
