We shall recall some timeless poets that keep on moving and unsettling us in the voices of Paula Cortes, Sandra Salomé, António Durães and Paulo Campos dos Reis. António Gancho, Almada Negreiros, Alberto Pimenta, Jorge Sousa Braga, Mário Cesariny and Fernando Assis Pacheco are among the many in this session’s poetic menu. Between readings, the Valente Maio project—an explosive encounter between violinist Manuel Maio and violist José Valente, two musicians known for their sound flexibility and creative irreverence—will make its debut in this poetic series. Still in regard to music, Lavoisier will bring the session to an end, with Patrícia Relvas singing and Roberto Afonso playing electric guitar in a stolen and changed chemistry. “Lavoisier” means providing oxygen with a name, stamping one’s feet tastefully and clapping the paddle. You can’t miss it. Recognised visual artist Isabel Padrão is in charge of the session’s image. Ana Tulha (body painting) makes a special appearance.
