In the era of "Economic Airlines," American tourists take a package tour. The programme consists of visiting one capital city per day. When they arrive in Paris, they realize that the airport is exactly the same as the one they left Rome from, that the streets resemble those of Hamburg, and that the streetlights look uncannily like those in New York. Little by little, they meet French people, including Mr. Hulot.
