PATRÍCIA DURÃES

Patrícia Durães started her music studies at the age of 5 at the Suzuki Method Music Academy A Pauta (violin class). Later she joined the Professional Music School of Espinho. She participated in several master classes with Ani Schnarch, Felix Andrievsky, Itzhak Rashkovsky, Cihat Aşkın, Gerardo Ribeiro, Yuri Nasushkin, Yan Repko, Elizabeth Wilson, Bartek Niziołand Nuno Soares. In August 2011 and2012 she was invited to the New Virtuosi International Violin Master Course in Duino (Italy), run by Ani Schnarch. She held solo performances in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, USA, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and England. She performed solo with the Espinho Classic Orchestra conducted by Pedro Neves in May 2012, and with the Gulbenkian Orchestra conducted by Joana Carneiro in September of the same year. In May 2017, she completed the Bachelor of Music programme at the Royal College of Music in London. She currently teaches at the Castelo de Paiva Music Academy.
