Sinopse
In this work, Marco da Silva Ferreira, associated artist at Teatro Municipal do Porto during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, intends to expose the urban dances environment dominated by a certain “hyper-masculinisation” in parallel with a queer and feminist universe, which is a distinctive feature of this day and age and of this generation. Which masculinities are still being created and/or upheld today? What kind of feminism claims to be itself something masculinised? This performance brings to the stage dense, virtuous and dominant dances, in order to discuss something that is common to all: the intimacy and honesty of the human being.
A physiotherapist by training, Marco da Silva Ferreira has been a dance performer since 2008. In 2017, he premiered the performance "Brother" in the scope of Teatro Rivoli’s 85th anniversary. He is an associated artist at Teatro Municipal do Porto during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.
