Sinopse
The convention is an opportunity for ventriloquists from all over the world to create friendships, create a network of contacts and build professional relations. Nine ventriloquists on the stage reconstruct the annual meeting, basing their actions on the various challenges proposed at the North American convention. The audience is invited to play an active role in this convention, feeling the ventriloquist’s perspective in their contact with their doll (or their second skin).
Gisèle Vienne was born in 1976. After a degree in Philosophy, she studied at the École Supérieure Nationale des Arts de la Marionnette. It was there that she met Etienne Bideau-Rey, with whom she created her first work. She works regularly with the writers Dennis Cooper and Catherine Robbe-Grillet, with the musicians Peter Rehberg and Stephen O’Malley, the lighting design Patrick Riou and the actor Jonathan Capdevielle. Since 2004, she has choreographed and directed, in collaboration with the writer Dennis Cooper, “I Apologize” (2004) and “Une belle enfant / The young, beautiful blond girl” (2005), “Kindertotenlieder” (2007) and “Jerk" (June 2007). She has presented photographs and installations since 2005.
