Sinopse

Guerra & Paz [War & Peace], a title kindly borrowed from Leo Tolstoy's novel, is a creation by Cátia Pinheiro and José Nunes, with text developed in collaboration with the artist and rapper Capicua. It is designed for a young audience, but open to all ages. This project began in 2025 through a series of workshops developed with children, in collaboration with local partners. These sessions functioned as spaces for listening and experimentation, where questions, concerns, and ways of seeing the world were gathered and later fed into the creative process. At a time when images of war break into our lives daily through televisions and smartphones, it becomes urgent to create spaces for shared reflection between children and adults. Starting from the ideas of war and peace—not only as distant or historical concepts, but as everyday experiences—the performance proposes a careful look at how we relate to one another, organize ourselves, and inhabit the world. Between intimate and collective conflicts, visible and invisible borders, a question emerges: how are conflicts built—and why do they persist—in the world we share?
