Sinopse

A Night in the Belly of the Beast is a rock tragedy on the volatile nature of power relations, based on original music by Ricardo Pinto and the imagery, lyrics and dramaturgy of André Lourenço. Founded in 1996 by actors Emília Silvestre and Jorge Pinto, Ensemble — Sociedade de Actores is an artistic project of creation, experimentation and training. It has presented performances by diverse authors such as Molière, Shakespeare, Tchekhov or Ibsen, Brian Friel, Samuel Beckett, Arnold Wesker, Tom Kempinski or Jean Cocteau, as well as original texts and taken to the stage by Portuguese playwrights such as Luísa Costa Gomes, Jacinto Lucas Pires, Mickael de Oliveira and Ricardo Alves, which involved dozens of actors, dancers and musicians, directors and choreographers, light, sound and video designers, set designers and costume designers from all over the country.
