ANDRÉ LACERDA & JOANA RESENDE

André Lacerda was born in Vila Nova de Gaia in 1989. He started his music studies at the Vilar do Paraíso Music Academy, where he attended the piano, musical training and chorus classes. He began his professional career as anactor/singer in “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “West Side Story”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Annie”and “The Wizard of Oz”, all directed by Filipe La Féria. He also performed as both a soloist and a choir member in the operas “Le Nozze di Figaro” [The Marriage of Figaro] and “Orphée aux enfers” [Orpheus in the Underworld], both produced by the Filarmonia das Beiras Orchestra, among others. He collaborates with the ancient music group Ludovice Ensemble on a regular basis. He has a degree in music (singing) from the University of Aveiro. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in artistic performance (singing) at the School of Music and Performing Arts (Porto).

Joana Resende was born in Porto. She received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and completed the Silva Monteiro Music Course with Vitaly Dotsenko. She has a degree in music from the School of Music and Performing Arts (Porto). She studied at the University of Music and Theatre “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig with Gerald Fauth and Karl-Peter Kammerlander. She completed a master’s degree from the University ofAveiro under Fausto Neves, and held presentations in Portugal, the United Kingdom, France and Brazil. She has been performing in Europe, promoting Portuguese music and accompanying Lied singers, namely at the Oxford and Zeist festivals. In 2016, she released the album “Anterianas”.
