Sinopse

At every major shift — such as the arrival of artificial intelligence — society feels the need to reorganise itself. What will we become? What are we still? Are we moving forward or slipping backwards? In Adorno, the audience is carried by a group that advances and retreats in waves, echoing the movements of history. The scenes unfold in a dreamlike atmosphere of constant zooming in and out, confronting what we feel to be most singular with a possible ideal of society, or with the blindness of the crowd. Here, adorno [adornment] refers to each person’s trivial choices — small embellishments — although, in Rio’s Carnival, these can expand into a powerful collective composition. — Alice Ripoll
