Sinopse
With the project Air Condition, Carme Torrent proposes to consider the choreographic practice beyond the dance field, associating it with theories and practices that are related to situations, movements and objects of the social realm: a clash of heterogeneous elements; a change in the thinking process that moves away from the humanist concept of dance, understanding choreography as the movement of objects and systems. This project is developed in partnership with the artist Iñaki Alvarez and the studio Still Urban Design.
Carme Torrent studied Architecture in the University of Barcelona and worked in different studios of architecture including the one of Enric Miralles. At the same time she began to develop projects as a choreographer and performer, highlighting the collaboration with Japanese artist Min Tanaka and the choreographer Xavier Le Roy with which she worked in exhibition contexts.
