Sinopse

The first image that comes to mind when one thinks of sound is that of invisible waves travelling through the air, captured by our ears and interpreted by our brains. In addition to its acoustic dimension, however, sound has weight, movement and strength. A physical strength that goes beyond hearing and acts on the body, which receives and reacts to its vibrations, a tangible presence in the space surrounding us. The choreographic structure consists of takes—which can be defined as frames of the moment—and combines reality and fiction, expanding the physical space in which both action and sound take place, establishing a dialogue between what one hears and what one sees—or doesn’t see. Sound has its own history, and the body is continuously looking for one. — São Castro & António M Cabrita
