Sinopse
BERTIE is a networked virtual reality experience for several players-performers. In an apocalyptic virtual environment, polluted by piles of digital garbage and crowded with abandoned characters, the players will have to navigate this techno-melancholic land together while coming across notions of legacy, orphanhood, waste… — Rita Barbosa

Author's bio text
Rita Barbosa (1979, Porto) is a director and visual artist with a degree in digital arts, having completed the sound and image course at the Catholic University of Porto (2002). Her artistic practice mostly involves recorded image, but she has also been working in collaboration on creating, writing and visually designing theatre and performance projects. Resorting to disciplinary crossings, she seeks to deconstruct operating processes in her work, looking at art as an aesthetic game.
Note:
This show is presented simultaneously at Rivoli, Campo Alegre and gnration (Braga), based on the idea of a cooperative electronic game (co-op), in which people collaborate to achieve a common goal. The three spaces will share the same narrative, but from different points of view: the audience in each space will follow the behavior of one of the three characters in this game. The people who watch, the characters who play, in three different spaces, come together in a collective experience.
