Author's bio text
Puçanga is a singer, songwriter and producer, based in Portugal. The word Puçanga means spell or home remedy. A strong and haunting voice merges with the dark and bassy tones of an experimental electronic style. Inspired by folklore and songs of resistance, her music explores issues of social justice and feminism.
The free scream, the poem as a sonic dagger between the percussive cacophony of tireless rhythms and explosions of distorted winds at the nexus of chaos and catharsis. Passing through the universes of Jazz and national Folklore, Vasco Lé uses the power of sound and words, as weapons for the materialization of an inherent visceral fury.
