Nuno Preto / Colectivo Espaço Invisível

Nuno Preto is a theatre director, writer, actor and musician. He was a founding member, actor, director and playwright at Mau Artista. He performed for several theatre directors and in several projects, although he mostly chose to stick to the structures with which he worked. He was a member of Teatro da Palmilha Dentada until he no longer was, but all is well. He collaborated with Teatro Oficina from 2017 to 2020 as trainer and actor in the plays Teatro da Alma and Arte da Comédia, directed by João Pedro Vaz, and he directed Retábulos in the scope of the Gil Vicente Festivals. He also collaborated with Museu do Porto as an associate creator in the programmes Escuta and Deriva, also coordinating and creating content for Rádio Estação in 2020, 2021 and 2022. He has a soundscapes project with Samuel Martins Coelho. He was a film and TV actor, performing in Mosquito, Nothingness Club, A Pedra Sonha Dar Flor, Causa Própria, A Sibila, Histórias da Montanha, Lusitânia and O Corno do Centeo—the latter only because he was able to row a boat without the risk of capsizing it. He writes music for a few dance projects. He created the Espaço Invisível collective with Daniela Cruz, a creation and cultural mediation platform with which he puts together different artistic creations and implements participatory programmes. But this is a fake bio, since he has been away from Portugal for the last twenty years. Having a twin brother served to trick people he crossed in the street and in the gigs where he ‘apparently’ showed up.
